A house that was built to be lived in slowly
Casa Corfu stands in Perama, on the green slope above the Chalikiopoulos lagoon, ten minutes from Corfu Town and a short walk from the water. Four hundred and twenty square metres across three floors, arranged so that a party of fourteen can spend a week together without ever feeling on top of one another.
The living room is a single generous volume rather than a set of small rooms. Seven double bedrooms are spread around and above it: one on the garden level, four on the first floor, and two more sharing the attic with a small lounge under the roof. Outside there is no manicured lawn, only an old olive grove with gravel paths and deep shade, which is the reason the house is as quiet as it is.

Inside and out
The living room
One open volume rising through two floors, with the upper landing looking down into it and a dining table long enough for everyone at once. It is the room the house is organised around, and the reason fourteen people can share it comfortably.
The grove, and the view through it
The garden is a working olive grove rather than a lawn. Gravel underfoot, real shade at midday, and a gap in the canopy that opens onto the Chalikiopoulos lagoon with Corfu Town on the far shore.
A gym of your own
A dedicated training room inside the villa, so a week here does not have to be a week off. Free weights, bands, rings and mats, racked on the wall and ready to use.
Breakfast under the trees
The terrace is where most of the day happens. A long table in the shade, the grove falling away below it, and the lagoon catching the light beyond.

Perama sits on the coast road just south of Corfu Town, looking across the Chalikiopoulos lagoon to Kanoni and Mouse Island. It is close enough to the airport to make arrival painless and far enough from the resort strips to be quiet at night.
